Stars & Planets Book
A comprehensive 224 page handbook which contains detailed star maps of both the Southern and Northern hemispheres, bimonthly sky charts which can be used from any location and a guide to all 88 constellations each with a small map, details of its main features and mythology. In addition it provides information on our solar system, the universe and amateur astronomy. This excellent product will prove invaluable when viewing your named star.

What is a planisphere?
A planisphere is a circular map of the night sky viewable from a given latitude, in this case 50-60° North (suitable for use in UK, Ireland and other locations at these latitudes). By aligning the inner and outer circles (your local time & date), the stars that are visible at that time are shown. An exceptionally clever but simple to use item!
Deluxe Gift packs include ´The Night Sky´ by David Chandler, widely acknowledged by amateur astronomers as the best planisphere available. The Night Sky uniquely uses two, easy to read maps, allowing the sky to be shown with significantly less distortion than a single map planisphere. The Night Sky planisphere is approx 10" x 8.5" in size.
